Adult on-set hunter once I moved out here and kicking myself for not taking up my uncle 25 years ago to get in on the game. Better late than never - and at least I have a few funds now. On the hunt for the last 7-8 years now and getting into what I'm calling Phase 2 of my hunter journey. Located in Northern Utah and taking my 2x 14 yo sons out for there 1st hunter this year in Box Elder. Open and welcome community intro; especially as I work to get my sons into and connected into the experience.

BE is a big unit, with a lots of area that doesnt hold animals. I would suggest getting out and scouting over the summer if possible.

That is definitely the plan @CorbLand - not only to check out some animals but to also get the boys used to being out & doing the thing.

I'm secretly hopefully the Anterless units they put in for on Youth come through as I think they would be a little better hunts for them. Snacks and fun is goal.
