Using a boot dryer- yes or no?

First off, let me say, I’m a long time lurker, first time poster. Thanks for all of the information from all of the members here!

My dilemma is that I finally stepped up my boot game to a pair of Crispi Wild Rock GXT. Nice boots. I feel I’m definitely going to have to break them in as they are way stiffer than any boot I have ever bought, but I do like them so far.

I have always used a PEET boot dryer before, which supposedly blows 120 degree maximum air into the boots. Is this a bad idea on these boots? I’d hate to ruin them, as the instructions with the boots said to just let them dry in their own. I know from experience that my boots don’t dry all the way day to day on wet hunts without a boot dryer.

Am I just stuck wearing wet boots on day 2? Or will the dryer cause no problems?

Ok. Thanks for the feedback. The instructions made it sound like my boots would blow up if I didn’t let them dry in a cool dry place. Lol. Boot dryer it is then.

120° seems very generous for a peet dryer, I wouldn't guess that mine gets any warmer than mid to high 90s. For a quick overnight dry I'd be very surprised if they damaged any footwear. Probably wouldn't want to leave them on there for a week on accident though.

If it's the same model as mine then it has a 3 hour max time for the blower and heat setting. I've not had issues using mine on Crispi and kenetrek boots for past 2 years.

I have had zero issues using a Peet boot dryer with nicks, whites, kenetreks, schnees, lowa, scarpa, salewa, Salomon, sportiva, etc. If they are going on my feet in the AM, I want to start the day dry.

Love my PEET dryer. As someone else said: Leather, synthetics, muck-style, rubber, etc. works well on all types. I unplug once dry, and will leave the boots on just to save space. Great product.
