USGS Topo maps of WY

Looking for paper map of elk unit unit 36
National geographic doesn't have this area that I can find but Id like map very similar with grid box's in order to find My position easily. Any help Thanks!

You can download PDF topo maps for free or buy paper copies for $15 each from the USGS website. Depending on the scale, you may need multiple maps to span your entire area of interest.

Go to huntmap.com. They have outstanding topo maps of any GMU and you can pick your center point. You can also select between a normal paper map, or one of their indestructable ones for a bit more $.

mytopo.com is worth a look. You can make a custom map (scale & size) of anywhere and they print them on water proof / tear proof paper. You can also add unit/area boundaries and NF, BLM, private, State, land boundaries. These are very useful maps if you are looking for paper maps.

I've never actually purchased one, but the website says $15 each, which I agree seems expensive. I just download what I need, print it on regular copy paper, and redneck laminate it with packing tape.

If you were in Laramie the Geo Survey has an office on UW campus. We walk over and by quads from them, BLM land status maps too.

It was great. Just got to find a good map source.

MyTopo used to sell state-specific sets of CD's with maps at a bunch of different scales and an app that could stitch them together with any scale or boundary.

Found a few on amazon "MyTopo Terrain Navigator" ~$100 per state.

But not available on Trimble's MyTopo page.
Trimble Terrain Navigator Pro online service is $250 per seat PER YEAR.
