I am seeking recommendations on good ear pro for Upland Birds. Currently I am running the Sound Gear Instant fit, but they have started failing with a high-pitched ringing that is annoying the hell out of me.

What are Ya'll using (or not using) when chasing birds?

I just bought a pair of Alclair EXP for bird hunting. They had a 30% off sale recently and I decided to spend the money and get a pair. My dad went deaf as he got older and I don't want to go through the same.

Have you had much chance to try these out yet? I'm curious to get some feedback on them.

Otto NoizeBarrier Micro. I have no real complaints about them. They handle wind well, and I can usually tell the direction of flushes. I liked the foam tips they came with but switched to some comply ones from amazon when they wore out, and I like them even better now.
Otto 100% I love mine and got my three other buddies to get them and everyone agrees they are great.

No ear pro. Shooting a 28 ga for everything bigger than a quail. No issues

If I up bore, or shoot ducks I like the axial.

I use ESP Apex.

Everything sounds great and they are comfortable all day.

They eat batteries but my gun eats shells.

The only thing off is it takes a few sessions to get used to how your own voice sounds.

Been using the Axil Xcor for about a year and like them. I don’t use them for low volume shooting like upland (except dove) but I have for waterfowl.

Do they alter the sound of your own voice similar to other hearing protection? have you had any issues with battery life?

They might alter you voice ever so slightly on the normal setting, I don't really notice anything, on the amplified setting they do. Batteries are self contained and are charged when put back in the case, battery life is excellent, my normal hunts are 3hrs and they are at 80% when I put them back in the case.

I’ve been running the axil gs for 2 years. They have run flawlessly for all manors of shooting and hunting. Definitely an affordable option worth looking at.
