Upgrade to my Kowa 663

I have the older Kowa 663 that I’m looking to replace. I use the fixed 30x eyepiece over the variable because the 30x is a wide angle and so much clearer. I find myself consistently wanted more zoom with clearer picture. I’d love the new fluorite Kowa, but just can’t afford it. Would like to come in at 2k or less. Any spotter be a good UPGRADE? More zoom, better glass, better variable eyepiece?

I have a 773. I just picked up a 663 for my son. From looking at things at my house the 773 is better but I wouldn’t say enough say it’s worth the upgrade. I am leaving next week for a hunt. So I should be able to do a true test out in the field

As I understand it the 663 and 773 have same glass? The difference is the better eyepiece on the 773? Is this accurate?

I also talked to someone that compared the 773 to the new 66a and he said there wasn’t much difference
