I currently run a Frankford arsenal M-press and recently purchase an Area419 sizing die because I wanted a mandrel and size done in one stroke. Turns out the die doesn’t fit in my press because of the way they do the lock rings on this press. So I’m contemplating returning the die in favor of a SAC modular die or getting a new press to run the area419 since I’m not a giant fan of the one I have. Considering the Forster coax, going for the SAC nexus, or even just a rockchucker.

What say you? Get a new press or return for the sac die?

The collar as in the loc ring? Just get a different sized loc ring maybe and continue on?
Yeah lock ring. I’m not sure I can use a different lock ring in this press.
the die does the work the press just pushes a case in and extracts it. i am lost on why.???
The die doesn’t thread down far enough to size the case before the knurling on the die contacts the upper mouth of where the lock ring sits. I’m not sure if that’s a good way of describing it

If you're trying to save time dies aren't the way to do that, turret or progressive presses that reduce case handling and increase production per pull are the way to go.

Sure, I just wanted a quality sizing die with a mandrel and the SAC and area419 are the 2 dies I’m looking at
