What cartridge are you shooting with the OG?

I literally told you the other day that I don’t have an OG. I could end up with a 6.5 one down the road and the reaper is something I’m very interested in but I still don’t think the OG 30 caliberbsilencer is something I need. As far as cartridges though, I don’t shoot that many or anything fancy, 30-06, 308, 6.5cm, 223, 375HH.

Do you ever actually answer questions or acknowledge when something you stated was incorrect? I misstated something you wrote, you pointed it out, I acknowledged it apologized and edited my post with the correction.

You just say incorrect random nonsense, then when corrected never admit that you did, address it, or correct it. You just follow up by saying other incorrect nonsense.

Well hold on now. Saying it sounded louder than another can isn't the same as saying it is LOUD. I'd hunt with an OG without a second thought. With that said, metaphorical gun to my head, I'm still picking a raptor 8 if I'm spending another thousand bucks. I really wanna get my ears on that OG 6.5 though.

^^ Karl just posted more real world experience that forms tests aren’t accurate . Trust me , you don’t need a meter to notice the difference. I’ll be traveling around the next few months letting anybody demo mine if they want . My dms are open

Its very believable that two different cans sound different.

Please perform a test that is measurable, repeatable and accurate. One that would demonstrate that the OG does not perform as advertised. If a $1000 is nothing to you get a decent mic and show us how loud your OG is next to other cans. It doesnt have to be perfect just repeatable. Im going to the CO meet up so im sure there's gonna be an OG there.

The reason I said that is because form tested both silencers at 133 . The consensus is a silencer has to be 3 db louder to be noticeable. Didn’t mean to speak for you , sorry about that

General inquiry on suppressor testing as a whole.

Has a test has been done on barrel length affecting the db rating?
For example OG6.5 is rated at 129.5 on a 24" 6.5CM, a video in this thread shows it the same at about 129.5/130 on a 20" 6.5CM. What about a 16" 6.5CM?
Would it be something like like 1 db per 2" of barrel loss (Similar to velocity loss?) ... using that theory a 16" 6.5CM would be like 131 db?

I am sure I am splitting hairs here, every suppressor I have I think is awesome in its own way.

Many people still consider that what you personally are experiencing may be "loud", because you've possibly got a bad can. And now you've got a deal to get your money back. Most reasonable people would call it a day, and assume that, yes, maybe they got a bad can. If nothing else, they'd STFU if they haven't tested a second OG to double-check themselves.

But then you kept questioning the truthfulness and veracity of the data, the documentation by the vids, and everyone ELSE's experience with an OG.

At this point, you're no longer coming across as a well-meaning and experienced owner of suppressors.

I don't understand why you haven't stopped after you accepted money back for your "bad can".

Again, if you had the slighted bit of spine, you'd go to the suppressor get-together and put your can to the test with all the others.

Is it short? Will it throw off a rifle’s balance? Is it under 140 decibels? Is my money going to a company that actually responds to feedback?

Quit bitching… this is sad. I’d be very happy with a company that would actually refund an NFA item. That alone would deserve my business in the future. Buy something else if your needs require it. If you want optimal, go integral. Any practice will be done with hearing protection, hunting you’ll shoot at most a mag. It’s under 140 to my ears, the rest are carry comfort stats… these argued incremental gains, will be outclassed in 12 months. The cans suggested are splitting hairs in function.

Don’t you think that’s being sort of ridiculous??? Basically telling a guy to stop talking about something he has experience with just because you disagree with it???

Not trying to pick a fight but I’ve seen several people now basically telling the guy to stop posting. Why??? Ignore what he’s saying or scroll past, he owned and shot an OG so he’s posting his results, again, it seems ridiculous to ask somebody to stop posting just because you don’t want to read what they are saying.

He could just as easily tell you to stop reading the thread if you don’t like what’s being posted.

I found a major difference in tone and noise between reflex and direct. I can’t image why, since the diverter might act like another baffle plus the added volume. Thus why I ask what the reflex number was when Form posted Raptor 8 direct,

Not discounting some else’s perception just stating my own perception, and what I attribute that too

only can not show that I have mentioned is the Raptor 4 w3” reflex and it wasnt mine. But I can get it again I’ll also grab the wolf hunter which is just a touch under OG in my opinion but almost 3” longer past muzzle.

I’m still curious what reflex you have on your AB4, if you arent running a reflex and reflex doesn’t matter then the A10 is the best bang for your buck and you should be reallyyyyy pissed since its $450-480 depending on which one.

It should meter about 135 to 136 dBA on a 22” 6.5 PRC. “Quiet”, no. Hearing safe as best as the industry knows- yes. Beyond that it was stated repeatedly from the beginning that the 6.5 PRC is the upper limit of what the OG is really made for.

So despite being a 30 cal can, it wasn’t really made for 7mm or 30 cal applications? Would reccomend something else then if someone was looking for a 7mm or 30 cal can then?

Also, now I’m really confused why the OG 6.5 needed to come out so quickly if the OG was ‘really made for’ the same thing. Educate me, not trying to be a dick but sincerely curious what you mean by comment above.
