These cans are niche, the reflex changes tone, not much affect on dba. To get within the best 7" cans on the market. A reflex style can will need be within an inch muzzle forward of traditional supressor length, at a sizeable weight penalty. At this point, why go reflex? US isn't worried about dba numbers as long its hearing safe and meets the minimal muzzle forward form factor they are perusing.

Yes, we all want quiet, minimal muzzle forward length, and light. Unfortunately in this scenario you only get to choose 1 and half of those options. That's the tradeoff.

In many situations, the weight can be made to work. The reason for this is that most of the rifles we are using were built to be balanced with 20”-26” barrels. Just cutting them down to 16”-20” barrels unbalances them. Even rifles sold with shorter barrels aren’t really designed for them. Adding back 4”-6” of titanium (8-16 ounces) tends to restore that balance.

There is certainly a point of diminishing returns with the amount of suppression provided by the reflex portion of the can versus the extra weight penalty, but from a balance perspective, the weight penalty hurts less the further back it is.

An ISB is still the future, as far as I am concerned. These Rube-Goldberg devices we are sticking on the end of our weapons are [hopefully] a temporary thing future generations look at and smile disdainfully. I view modern suppressors much the same as a Snider, Berdan, or Springfield trapdoor conversions for rifled muskets to breechloaders.

Current suppressors are [hopefully] a temporary stage made necessary by stupid laws.
