Unit 51 idaho?

Anyone ever hunt this unit? I am looking at applying for the late muzzleloader tag next year, but have never been in the unit. Anyone hunted it?

Can be a fun hunt, but tough for big bucks but has big buck potential. Most bucks top out about 170 but once in awhile a real toad comes out of there. Definitely a rut hunt. Combo of hiking and glassing and some glassing from roads. Arco has all services.

Haven't hunted it in a while but it has potential. I spent a couple of summers working a ranch at the summit when I was in school and saw some nice animals but that was longer ago than I would like to admit. The Idaho big bucks facebook page has a pic of a nice buck that just came out of that same hunt. I think he had a pic on eastmans fb as well.

I hunt it quite a bit and just was up there last weekend after a bull which we managed to get. Ran into some guys who were hunting with the late muzzleloader deer tag and there just is not much snow so they are still high and secluded. I had that tag a couple of years ago and saw one nice buck. As someone else said, it depends on the weather and the rut. You can PM me if you would like some more detailed info.
