Northwest New Mexico Late Archery Hunt

I have a buddy that has a very limited draw Archery Hunt in January up in the Northwest Part of New Mexico that I am going to help him with. The type of unit that is pretty much a once in a lifetime to draw, specially as a NR. If anyone is familiar with the area or has possibly hunted in this unit that time of year I would just like to ask some questions and get a feel for the area since we have never been there. It won't be something we could ever go back and hunt year to year and also not looking for someone to give me a certain spot. We just want to maybe ask some questions about areas that would be good or not good to camp in due to access and getting around in the unit or what the terrain and access might be around. Any help would be appreciated! I love to help people out when needed in areas I have hunted or am familiar with so if possibly you have been looking at a place i have hunted or know in the future I would be more than willing to help or answer any questions someone might have in that aspect
