Has anyone seen/ used these pants? They look like they would be perfect for glassing. They are currently on UA for $149.99 which appears to be a pretty good deal if the quality is there.
This thread came up recently in the gear deals section. A bunch of people bought them myself included. For $130 you can't really beat them. I don't have any field use yet, but comparing to my Kuiu Superdown jacket, I would say it's a little heavier fabric. They are heavier then the Kuiu Superdown pants, but they feel warmer. Full leg zips, good construction, and pretty packable.
They are fabulous and heavily insulated. I sold my Kenai pants and my Kryptec puffy pants and went to these. Quiet enough to slip on even for treestand bow hunt.
Pretty good for the $200 I spent, really good at the sale price. I’d say around 80% more fill than the kuiu ultra, quieter material. Mine have a somewhat sloppy stitching but hasn’t come apart. A large weighs a pound.
Traceable down, mine actually tested at 840fp grey goose down and 93% down 7% feathers. Maybe not the tip top quality but pretty close.
While it’s quiet I wish the face fabric was more water resistant like what Sitka uses on their kelvin lite pants. Zipper is short and so is the rise.
Honestly I think they are overkill if going to just ride in your pack. Better suited for winter or long sits.
Pretty similar to kuiu pants. I went up a size for room to spare, ease of getting on. The waist is elastic and I need a belt but like the extra room through the legs. I don’t have big legs so if you do take that into account. I was able to try on a medium and large in a store, leg room wasn’t a big difference but the waist was.
