Why did I spend all that money on the OG…? This looks 2” longer, ~4ish ounces lighter and significantly quieter….

I told Jake and Cliff this answer today. I will never use the Reaper for my hunting rifle. I've been around almost every can on the market and would pick the OG every time! Yeah, it's a little louder, but it doesn't have that crack that all these 6” muzzle forward cans have, plus I want the shortest form factor possible. 2” is 2”. But OTB suppressor education takes time. Shot in a group setting with lots of rounds fired, almost everyone picks the OG at the end of the week. But truthfully, Americans are like sheep.. Clique and 6” cans are all the rage for now. So the US is making what the masses want, and she's a beauty. I'm just happy they made the OG first!

Isn't the OG 10.9 ounces? 10.9 - 8.5 = 2.4 ounces.

Looks to fit what lots of folks are looking for. Light weight, under 7", max suppression. But what does it do better than a nomad XC? little lighter (with factory nomad hub adapter at least), little shorter, price? If using standard SiCo or dead air end cap threads it would open up modularity options as well.

In this fast moving world of suppressors nothing will stay on top in its niche for long. I’m excited to see what post tax stamp product rollouts looks like next year.

Nothing has really changed accept all supressors are 200$ cheaper of tax. Everyone is still subject to the NFA background check wait times?

UM Suppressors: "Hey guys, check out this cool thing we made!".
Customers: "Awesome, love the option for a new product!"

Customers: "How dare you give us another new product option!"
I think there's just more people that would prefer a "quieter" 8.5oz can that doesn't go ejecto baffle stack-o cuz.

It would help to see/hear more videos (with good audio) of side by side testing, maybe some "man on the street" surveys at the range to get some unbiased feedback. It's really hard to hear the difference conclusively from what's been posted here/on Instagram, and the reception has been that it's a good can that does what it says, but not necessarily "the overwhelming winner every time". Just some honest feedback from a prospective customer. If you're relying on someone experiencing hundreds of rounds shot side by side with this can and other competitors before becoming convinced, not many people will ever experience that.

The rumor is that the Form 4 process was allowed to be implemented on the basis that it is a tax. With a zero dollar tax, does the basis still exist? I think it will be challenged.

But yeah, near term just cheaper but huge potential backlog based on volume.
