UM/S2H/Suppressors/Scopes and More!

I gave you an example. Your name and approval is on the products b
You are a FNG by post count, but you’ve been a member for quite a while. Before I chime in here, how often do you read RS? No judgement. I’m a member of quite a few forums, but not active in each. In those in which I’m not active, I don’t know the customs and history. Just wondering your level of familiarity.

Clearly I read more than I post.

I don’t know about the reading part. But you are clearly failing to comprehend that the example you gave isn’t very good. You remind me of arguing with my youngest when he was 9.
Arguing like a 9 year old? I gave a specific example. Joke or not.

Joke or not, Form has a HUGE influence on Rokslide. Many members buy things based on his recomendation or don't buy based on his non-recomendation. It may not be what Form wanted to happen, but it has, and will probably only get stronger.

Very similar to the stock market influence some guys have. A tweet or comment can swing it one way or the other very quickly.

In a way, Form has become "The authority" of Rokslide. I get that he didn't intend for that to happen or want it to happen, but it has. Are some of you guys really trying to deny this exists?

I'm not sure if you are directing this (in part) to me, but I asked about the FNG's level of familiarity because for those who don't have much better to do than spent ridiculous amounts of time on RS (guilty), they would (or could) have been aware that Form wasn't involved in putting his name on the box. And more generally, how he has explained numerous times that he doesn't profit from UM products. Doesn't mean the audience has to believe that, but it's been covered. Ad nauseam.

Otherwise, I agree with the point on the influence on considering the buy/not-buy analysis, but at least for me, those recommendations are part of what I consider. Others on here have posted things that I take into consideration too, but they are not as prolific.

Being regarded as an “authority” on something by others is not the same as being a hype man. He has repeatedly stated not to take his word as fact and to verify things for yourself.

No doubt. I agree. The amount of stuff he indirectly sells because of his recommendation or lack of is pretty impressive tho. In order for guys to test it for themselves, they still need to buy the product. It's just how it works. Basically a non paid influencer. He has proven to lots on here that his way of thinking is " the way." It's not a bad thing, it just happened over time.

Most, who try his way or products he recommends, tend to agree with his thoughts or recommendations.

I can’t say I’ve purchased anything specifically on his recommendation. His opinion on gear does hold weight though. That’s because he tends to give hard numbers when possible and is critical of failures.

His name on the box serves the same purpose whether he APPROVED it or not.

Which was point Roor was making.

That's not how I took his point, as he specifically called Form a "hype man". To me that's basically calling someone a shill.

Hype - is intently talking about a product or procedure. That happens alot here.

Being a shill doesn't have to be related to hype.
