What is the suppressor rough overall length? Amount of reflex and in front of barrel if you are able to share? Rifle in pic barrel length? It looks real nice!

Are there plans to conduct 3rd party testing of the suppressors?

While TBAC SS and Pewscience each have their respective flaws, they do provide some comparative data for a market in which every manufacturer produces the “best” product.

Good morning Roksliders,

I've been made aware of disinformation floating around so I thought I'd take a few moments and explain the different directions we're headed in and how those departments are being managed.

Unknown Munitions: 12 Employees, 2 Machinists (chambering), 2 rifle builders, 4 man Cerakote team, Holly in shipping, Yooner in Sales, Alex in Rifle sales, Jessica tracking rifle builds/ accounting/ etc. We've had the same machinists chambering rifles since day 1, UM is not a marketing company, we are primarily a rifle builder and Cerakote Applicator. Our 4 man rifle building team is highly experienced.

Shoot2Hunt: Ryan and I host the podcast, Luke in Marketing and Owen in Web Building, Mason manages the podcast, that's it.

Unknown Suppressors: Cliff Brewer is owner, operator, designer, etc. I (Jake) do not run this business, but own part of it. This new suppressor company will distinguish itself by putting hunters first and chasing tones, not decibels. All models coming out this year will be 3D printed out of Titanium starting with our flagship reflex style can.

Any products coming out of Shoot2Hunt like Scopes, Backpacks, etc. are managed by a group of people, not just me. My job is to push projects forward by bringing products to market on the retail side.

Our new action is being made by Procision Arms, they are handling all tooling, production, etc. after the initial design was agreed upon.

Salmon River Solutions operates in our same shop but is entirely owned and operated separately by Ken Trapp.

Our other close partners are Ace Barrels, BAT Machine, and Stockys Stocks which are all independent of us.

We are not stretched too thin, everything is going exactly as expected due to a large team of amazing people that are continuing to make this whole adventure possible and continue pushing forward and creating new products.

We are still a very small business operation, finding, training, and keeping good people remains an extremely difficult part of business second only to managing cash flow.

Our entire team cares about shooting and hunting and we will continue growing in a controlled manner as the market takes us in different directions.

Please ask questions here and I will do my best to monitor this thread.
Come see all of us at the Hunt Expo this weekend in Booth 202.

No. Not yet. That is prototype number one. There’s 30+ variations going to be tried.

It will be sub 140dB, with a hollow sound. UM has bought good test equipment to measure.

That's pretty cool.

Are there any suppressors currently available that you can compare it to in terms of noise reduction?

And when you say the design is focused on hunters and not chasing decibels but tone, why would tone matter to a hunter? For myself, I want maximum decibel reduction for minimal extra length on the barrel

Can someone please point me to a good resource for why tone is a more desirable outcome over decibels for hunting? Genuinely curious and would like to learn more. Thanks in advance.

Two suppressors can have identical max dB numbers, but one sounds dramatically better. At the same dB, most people prefer a more hollow sound. For instance: OPS Inc 12th model sounds better behind the muzzle, beside it, and especially in front of it-than other cans that have the same dB or even lower. Animals react differently to cans that have more of a “CRACK” sound, than they do from cans that have a more “WOOOMMMFFF” sound.

What they mean by “chasing tone, not decibels” is just that- under 140dB, and better sounding at shorter OAL. It’s not going to be a magical can- just what we personally want, and what in my view should have been all along in the US.
