UM/S2H/Suppressors/Scopes and More!

Ultimate Reloader did some recoil testing with different configs of a certain suppressor.

For example, the 8" suppressor reduced recoil 37%
That 8" suppressor weighs 13.5oz

By comparison, a 13.5oz weight added to a 10lb rifle should only reduce recoil by the exact % of weight that it contributed, or about 8%

Furthermore, this guy literally has a recoil rig that he tested multiple suppressors on. Took seconds to find on youtube
Great videos. Thank you for sharing!

Have they said what the warranty is going to be in their suppressors? Also how will they be repaired since they are printed rather than welded?

Good Lord. People LOVE to complain. Whoever said “the customer is always right” is an idiot.

Here’s an idea; wait until the final product comes out, read the reviews, and if it sounds intriguing pick one up. If it doesn’t, move on.

All this fretting over something still not finished is a huge waste of time. The UM boys know what THEY want. They have pretty good experience…most here will like it. If not, find the one you do.

Thanks for a well said post.

I would be curious to see the cross section. I have designed and built close to a couple dozen cans, so the engineering interests me.

Make a trip to the UM shop. They have a plastic 3D printed one cut in half sitting on the front counter you can handle. Also you can handle the current prototype.

Man, I think I'm most pumped for the pack tbh.

Guys that don't hunt late November and into December in Northern states probably can't imagine how much of a PITA and gear intensive endeavor it is.

My pack on a late November day hunt in NW Montana is bigger (not heavier) than a week long archery hunt in September. Puffy suit, glassing blanket, biggest spotter I own, extra layers, 3 pairs of gloves, over booties...all just for a day hunt. Make it an overnighter with a 4 season tent or tipi+stove and you can see where things are going. My SG 6900 fits the goods but accessing it all is a nightmare.

The easy access is huuuuuge.
