So, if I'm not mistaken... the NFA Poly LPK is no longer available... has anyone found a suitable lightweight alternative?

Can we add relatively inexpensive as a qualifier? That NFA polymer LPM was a real bargain compared to any lightweight, piecemeal alternatives I'm aware of.

I haven't yet, but it might be worth contacting them (NFA) to see if they have any plans to make the poly LPK again. Since re-opening they have had very little of anything...

I think that's a great idea (printing parts). Even if the trigger/hammer part didn't work, since, for example, I've been using metal triggers, the key pieces for me would be the other small parts. Add to that a printed end plate and there would be some weight savings and money savings over anything else available.

I'd think a printed version of safety, pivot pins, etc., could be plenty strong.

What's an endplate? Just kidding, but I just held the spring in place with a set screw. I might have tapped the hole, can't remember. Probably got this idea from @packgoatguy ?

For whatever reason, who knows, I haven't gone that route. I do have a CF end plate from Smoke Composites that's pretty nice.

I just ditch the end plate entirely. I don't bother with the spring either. The rear takedown pin has been tight enough in all my builds... its never fallen out or anything. But the way I designed my stocks, the carbon tube actually extends into the Solo300 a half inch, so the upper/lower wouldn't come apart anyway without removing the stock/buffertube piece.

Has anyone found a lightweight 6ARC barrel option yet? Anyone have an accurate weight on the BCA 16 inch M4 profile 6ARC barrel?

My BCA 6 ARC M4 16” barrel is 30 oz.

Nice, I think my buffer tube stub works the same. So, you probably discard that little 'alignment puck'? I kept it because it keeps the upper and lower in nice alignment and weighs very little.
I like the insurance of the detent pin for a few grams, so if anyone wants to lose the end plate, it's really easy to tap and use a set screw instead.
On another weight loss subject; if low weight was the #1 priority, it might make sense to get a 223ai barrel at 14.5", and have about the same velocity. Or not ai it if you don't shoot over 300 or so and run TMK's or similar slick bullets. At least tax stamps are free now for the SBR...

Ruger nailed this one out of the park. $450 for a 3.5lb 10/22 with a carbon wrapped barrel is pretty crazy when PROOF sells just the barrel for $1100 and why I went with a Kidd barrel on my other one.

Took the pic rail off and put Talley lightweights on it with a Redfield Rebel 2-7 rimfire scope. Good to go and expect it to be well within my 1 squirrelOA 50-yard accuracy standards.

Nice! I recently shaved one of those down to 2lb 4oz with the holosun red dot and 6" acculite barrel. My ulul small game rifle.

With the $0 stamp slapping one of those chargers into a lightweight stock has been in the back of my mind.

I’m pretty biased against red dots for hunting, I know they’ve come a long way since I last used one but for such small targets I like the scope magnification. Vortex had a recent YouTube video and only solidified this as the guy with the dot had trouble seeing the squirrels lol.

I'm actually waiting on the barrel and tax stamp, but I'll try to get a Pic when I'm home in a few days. The holosun reticle with a chevron has a 1 moa tip, and I've been head shooting squirrels and grouse out to about 25 yards with great success

How does the Pluto perform with 223? Always concerned about the rating.
