I picked up a few of the Trybe handguards. For the price and weight it’s hard not to—great value and very functional. My current ULUL has one, and I will be putting one on my next ultralight build as well. Not sure how much some of yalls diy handgaurds weigh, but I picked up a Trybe magnite 12” and it’s lighter than the advertised weight of the Faxon carbon fiber.

Advertised weight is 5.25 oz. Faxon 10” carbon fiber is advertised at 6.24 with hardware. I thought about doing a diy one, but wanted an easy mlok attachment for a mini arca rail. Seems like a good option at $62.

Thank you! I just ordered 2x. I know once I build one for me, it will not be long before one of my brothers or my dad kidnaps it. The perks and down fall of a suppressor/gun trust. Not sure how much some of yalls diy handgaurds weigh, but I picked up a Trybe magnite 12” and it’s lighter than the advertised weight of the Faxon carbon fiber.

Probably not a reduced load for the rabbit... I think it was the rabbit that got reduced!Reduced load for the wabbit" what is your can"
Rear shoulders still look good to eat!Probably not a reduced load for the rabbit... I think it was the rabbit that got reduced!
Totally would have bought this if you were selling a month ago - working on a 6arc build nowJust gonna throw this up here, in case anyone is looking for the 'Easy' button
Thread 'UL-UL upper package' https://rokslide.com/forums/threads/ul-ul-upper-package.432960/
Unless you want to build "custom parts", the very first build in this thread, with a couple of tweaks since then, is it.Can one of you experts suggest a state of the art parts list for a ULUL? Trying to shoot Black Hills 5.56 TMK. Side charger is fine. 16” preferred. Do need an arca rail (even if mini).

Changes (assuming purchased parts):
I'd switch to a Shaw portless 223 Wylde barrel
A Kaw Valley PCC handguard or, for an Arca rail, a Trybe Defense handguard.
The last change currently would have to be different choices for the LPK as NFA isn't offering the Poly LPK.
Probably have to use aluminum pivot pins, trigger of choice, and probably a steel safety as I've not seen an aluminum safety.
If money isn't an object, the Smoke Composites stocks are nicer than the A2/Farrow Tech combo, but the latter still works fine.
The Jag Composites handguard is still probably the lightest available, but much more money than the other two listed.

Yes, that's easily still the best lightweight lower.Thank you. So that would be starting with a TN arms carbon 15 lower?
Nope, full power 77 tmks. Hit it at the base of the head thru the neck, actually very little meat damage. The can is an AB A-10. It’s heavier than what I’d like on this rifle, but it works for now.Reduced load for the wabbit?what is your can?
That was a great looking hiking buddy in the rabbit hunt photos. I had a tricolor Aussie that was my special bud for several years. He is still in my memories. Nice AB suppressor. I live less than 100 miles from AB in New Century KS and only own three of their suppressors. Be Well Brothers. B.G.View attachment 993626
358 yards with a 77 Tmk today. Never got a chance to fill my deer tag with this rifle, so it’s time to make up for it.
I've been checked out of this thread for a while...glad I checked back in. Never heard of this company but I picked up a 12" and a 15". Probably won't replace the Jag on my current ULUL, but the 15" will go on my coyote AR (want to lighten it up).Not sure how much some of yalls diy handgaurds weigh, but I picked up a Trybe magnite 12” and it’s lighter than the advertised weight of the Faxon carbon fiber.

Also have a desire for a 6x45 UL so I can hunt in WA with it. Hard to build anything AR related here despite manually operated being perfectly legal...the 12" will go on that if I can get parts together. If anyone knows of an FFL that will transfer a lower please DM me...
