Ultralight Ultralight Rifles

Just looked. Like the price, though it might be a bit larger than the Nano, it would likely work fine for most of my uses. Let us know what you think of it. I'm just waiting for the $200 extra for the tax stamp to go away.
By the time it arrives to my dealer, it will be tax-free.

I know almost nothing about suppressors, but has anyone considered one of these for an ULUL? 8oz, less than 3¼" added to barrel length and on sale for 2 bills?

I have the Witt big body 223 it’s 4” & 14oz 1.62” di
Canooter valve is 3.2” & 8 oz 1.12” di

The big body 223 is louder than my ultra5 on a 12” 22arc & 16” & 7.5” 5.56
As loud as mine is already id just save the weight and get the canooter if I you with Witt. They’re not bad for a $200 can but loud although still worth it over bare muzzle. The thread quality and overall construction doesn’t just scream precision rifle suppressor and you may have to keep hand tightening the body of the can to the end cap until it carbon locks and stays tight on its own. But they work. I have a 223&45cal Witt’s but they’re 3or4 yes old so manufacturing may be better now.

If it was me though I’d save up and get something like an airlock nano and enjoy a much quieter and lighter can. The nano price isnt bad at all. I don’t have the nano but I’ve been very happy with the their ZG 6.5 version and wouldn’t hesitate to get a nano.

I got a 6 arc bolt face to swap into my left side charge bear creek upper. But…. When installed, the ejector and extractor are backwards. Can I flip it over, drill out the stop in the hole for the cam pin, and use it that way?

Or do I just need to get a left side ejecting bolt?

Not sure, but I think the latter.

Try to flip it over, remove the firing pin, and run the bolt by hand. If it works flawlessly like that, try firing a round next time at the range. I don’t see what could go wrong besides a FTE.

Well, the cam pin won’t go through the hole from the other side of the bolt so I think I would have to drill the cam hole out

Well that answers part one. I wouldn’t modify a left handed bolt. I’d just try to exchange with BCA as the left handers should be a few more dollars to them.

Looking for a grip that increases the distance to the trigger, any recommendations?

Currently have a Magpul MOE on there (I had it laying around), Are there any grips out there that are spaced backwards about 1/2"-3/4" so my fingers don't cramp up trying to shoot this thing?

Would prefer something moderately angled (like the Magpul MOE I have on there now), and bonus points if it's lightweight.

I know I have large hands, but this is bananas...

I wanna see and hear about the 6x45 you’ve put together. We got a tease picture of the barrel the other day. ✌️

I'm still working on it, but I started load development yesterday. 100rds of 80 & 87gr & I'm thinking it's going to be a winner with the 80s 😃

Not the best groups, but I was fighting 20mp wind gusts coming from every point on the compass.

No pressure signs on the 4 upper loads & accuracy seems to be on par. I've got another 5 each of the XT 26, 26.2 & 26.4 plus 5 each of H335 at 26.2, 26.4 & 26.6 (all are over 'book max') but I've loaded 0.009 longer at 2.335". I'm hoping that might just tweak things in a bit. I'm seeing into the 2800fps range with 335 & around 50fps slower with the Ex Terminator & Sierra 80gr Blitz.

The rifle itself doesn't really look any different, but I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of the Tactical Ordinance barrel.

If i wasn’t firmly locked into 17 caliber for now (as far as sub 223 cal goes) I would absolutely be ordering one of their skinny 20 Practical barrels. Always wanted a rifle in that caliber and it would be fun to see what it’s capable of.
