Thanks, not sure how I missed those posts. If you wanted to get really crazy, and shave another Oz (?), you could thread, bolt, weld, and then have a smith mill most of the gas block off, but, I think we're down at the point where they shouldn't be any lighter. Like you mentioned way back with potentially making the stock even lighter.
Although, especially for us suppressor dudes, weight off the barrel helps with the front heaviness/balance disproportionately. I'll probably stick with my shaw if it shoots well and sell my LRI milled green river blank, unless it somehow miraculously came out lighter than the shaw. Should have it on the scale any day now.
Well, this thread is pretty long now, probably easy to miss stuff. What is your Green River going to be, and the twist?

No kidding!
Oops, I think it's green mountain. Anyhow, 1:7 and I think it finished at 16 3/8" 223 wylde. I'll verify the length and weight when it gets in. They were a little finicky with what profile they would do and such, so it's a bit of a mystery. They get nervous with these crazy thin profiles...

On the porch when I got home! Only .2oz heavier than the Shaw, and 1/4" longer. The profile is almost the same. Much stronger shoulder for suppressor. OD green. I'm into this about $600 including the shipping, wish shaw portless was available before I went this road, but it did turn out nice. Let me know if you want it, as I don't need 3 barrels. Maybe the 1:7 twist will help someone with the heavies.

Side by side with the shaw.

How about a UL-UL thread blind auction?

The  perfect spot for a Ham'r, if ever there was one. I've got 200yds of open pasture to my right & I'm sitting on the northern end of 26 acres of mixed oak & hickory with a 5mph south wind. It's 57⁰, the sun has been up all day & I haven't seen a frigging thing. 🙄
I like the platform shoe your HAM'R is wearing. Must be a little self-conscious about its size...lol

As a heads up for anyone looking, eurooptic has the burris 3x and 5x prism sights going for under $200 right now. They look very similar to the primary arms ones, and list very similar weights.

I like that reticle better than my Primary Arms 3x, but not enough to buy another one to try out.
