Just got my 18” in the mail today and I’m very impressed with the workmanship. Excited to burn it in and put it to use this winter.

Burned mine in. It’s a huge step up from my 12” fire box on my fast fold. Hopefully I can get a little better at putting the belly in place, but it burns like a champ. Had to try it out in the yard. I feel like 3 hrs is an achievable burn

Yes, I am working on making another small batch. Should be ready to ship in a bit. I am not local to Alberta though.

I’ve been looking at getting a titanium stove and saw a lot of people on here talking about this. Seems you have made a new batch? Im wondering if you have any left I’d love to get my hands on one!

I've had ours out at least half a dozen times now. We've found if you find a round log as big as will fit in the door and then pack the rest as full as possible with 1-2" sticks with the coals all at the back and get it bucking for a few minutes and then choke it down, there are still a handful of coals in it 5-6 hours later.

Lite Outdoors is a Canada based company that makes excellent stoves. They are cylinder designs not dissimilar from TiGoat, but they have an excellent vent in the door that works great. In my opinion, they are worth consideration.

I agree with the tradeoff of burn time and fiddle factor vs longer term weight, but as was stated above, for me the ability to dry everything out and wake up warm is worth it! I have found the hot tent to be a total game changer on extended “high exertion” winter trips because I sweat like crazy no matter what.

Have fun with this – I think it is a great investment!

I have been looking for a cylinder stove for my Supertarp. These seem like they would work but I wonder if you cant the stove pipe like I have seen others do to get the stove from the side walls of the shelter.

You should be able to cant it to some extent, if you're trying to do a real hard can't you might have to take a grinder to the stove pipe outlet on the stove and elongate the hole just a little bit to allow the damper to "lean".
