Ultralight Tikka .300WM Build: Seeking advice on folding stocks/cheek weld.

Excellent post Wiscat.

My 2015 T3 Stainless Superlite in 300WM is my primary for everything living in Alaska. It wears a Leupold VX-5 3-15x44 in Tallley Rings w/ level, limbsaver pad. The most recent "upgrade" was a takeoff T3X stock and SRS rail which has been has been great for tripod shooting. My dials are effective to 800 yards at the range. The rifle has been carried all over Alaska and only weighs 7.65lbs. I wish had a mileage count of how far i've carried it over the years.

The recoil of my rife is serious with no brake or can. I find it to be manageable but it has scoped 2 guys at the range and 1 guy on a hunt. I've have never had an issue. It still kicks less than my moose partner's ultralight Braked 338RUM. I like to refer to these as "Adult Rifles".

It EATS Factory Hornady Superformance 180gr SST @ 3100FPS with consistent sub moa groupings regardless of lot numbers or conditions. I reload for our other rifles, but this rifle is left alone as it's 100% ready to go for anything.

Love my 300wm. It’s like when I was in high school.

We had the American muscle car guys w the Chevelles and mustangs and such. And then the tuner crowd w their hopped up 4 bangers. They are impressive for sure, the power they can make. But they worked their asses off to meet the power of pure displacement
