Ultralight Tikka .300WM Build: Seeking advice on folding stocks/cheek weld.

I have been putting together a Tikka T3x in .300 WM for an upcoming backcountry hunt. I currently have it set up with:

Rail: Salmon River Solutions 20 MOA rail
Rings: Hawkins Ultra Light Tactical (Low)
Optic: Leupold VX-5HD 3-15x44

As it sits in the standard Tikka synthetic stock, the scope is too high for proper eye alignment when I have a solid cheek weld. I have to "hover" my head to get a clear picture.

I eventually want to upgrade the stock and I’ve been looking closely at the Peak 44 Bastion. I love the weight and the vertical grip, but since it has a fixed negative comb, I’m worried I’ll run into the same height issue.

Has anyone run this specific setup (Tikka + 20 MOA rail + Hawkins lows) with the Bastion?
Does the Bastion’s comb sit significantly higher than the factory Tikka stock?
If you had this issue, did you jump to something with an adjustable riser like the MDT HNT26 or is there a lightweight "hack" for the Bastion that doesn't ruin the ergonomics?
Thanks for any insight!

Shooting will tell you what you want to know, as long as you go into it with an open mind. You may want a different stock and you may not.
Yeah, you're absolutely right. I just know looking down the sight right now I need to raise my head to see through the scope and I lose a good cheek weld.
Does this rifle have a brake or a suppressor?

Not yet, I plan on getting a Scythe-ti

i hunt with a basic tikka t3 300 win mag 22" barrel low rings and a swaro 3-18x44. it works goooood. 180 ttsx 79gr h1000 fed 215 lapua brass. i am 6'2" 2XX lbs and run a forty yard dash sometimes. elk burgers i like 70/30 elk to pork belly with sharp cheddar cherry tomatoes and diced onion with spicy brown mustard NO MAYO. that's about all i got to say about that

Have you perused the Scythe catastrophic failure thread on here?

There are better options in that department.

Enlighten me, please.

If you're referring to the thread about its failures, I've read it. But I've also read other great things. What do you think is the overall best choice?

Based on your responses you really don't understand anything, you just came here to gloat. So do yourself, and everyone else, a favor and post something helpful or move on.

No specific experience on the tikka vs the peak 44 but I did find it helpful to mess around with foam and tape on my Ruger m77 to see what works best.

Can be a good way to suss things out a bit to see what dimensions work for you before you spend another $700 on a stock you're not sure about.

Yes I plan on getting a 20"-22" carbon barrel. Not sure where yet, still reading.

Plan on shooting maybe once a month or so.
Personally, with a 300 I'd want to maintain a little weight to offset the recoil. Double check the length restrictions, but I'd recommend an AB Raptor 10 stack with a 3 or 5 inch reflex.

Recoil sucks.

With a good suppressor and a little weight to help reduce recoil as others have mentioned, you should be fine with a .300WM. If you want to shoot monos, go light for caliber and drive them fast which will also help a little with recoil. With bonded or cup and core bullets you have lots of choices.

If i were shopping now for a .30 cal suppressor, i'd probably get a ZG30 from Airlock.
