Ultralight Tent/shelter???

Bummer to hear about your back injuries Bruce! So what is you plan if you plan to hunt in the Alpine or Alaska tundra where hammocks aren't an option?

Ok so my first Colorado backcountry elk hunt is in the bag. Although I didn't tag out I had a great time and learned a lot. My question to you all is what lightweight 2 man tent or shelter are you using? This is one of the areas I'm already looking at for cutting down weight for next year.

I much prefer the Six Moon Designs Lunar solo and Lunar Duo over a tarp set up myself.

Has anyone tested the MLD Duomid XL?

I might order one in cuben fiber, with perimeter netting. I suppose the pm netting will stop some snow and rain from blowing in, let alone the bugs…

Is it as bombproof as they say?
