Ultralight chair to throw in your pack?

Been using this for the last 10 years. I go nowhere in the woods without it. Replaced the pad with a thicker one cut from a z-rest pad. The original got eaten by squirrels at camp. I also have sling chairs that take trekking poles, and they are good, but not as handy as this one.

That thing looks pretty sweet...I bet if you were handy with a sewing machine and use some carbon arrows you could DIY that too

Just got a shipping notice for the Rova chair. I had nearly given up on it, will be interested to see how it works. Ordered in July 2024 with initial expected delivery date of September 2024.
Looking forward to an honest review. May still be out of my budget but when I saw the video all I could think was “Of course, a lightweight slim packing Viking chair. Why hasn’t this been a thing before now?” I dunno, maybe it has. I could see something like this living n my truck and taking a few hikes.

I stopped sitting on rocks, logs and the ground in my backcountry camps in 2015. That stuff was killing my herniated disc situation. Been using the REI version of the Helonox since 2015 and never looked back. Game changer at camp for sure. Also use it for mule deer hunting when doing long glassing sits.

In base camp, I have those folding chairs with the little table on the side. I use my Helinx in a spike camp and anytime I’m glassing with the spotting scope. Definitely a game changer. I need a back rest.

Orthopedic issues require me to lug a chair. Definitely a game changer in camp, sleep better at night, less stiff during hunt, equals stay on Mtn longer
-did BA skyline chair past couple yrs, a little heavier than some of the other UL options, but really comfortable and has just enough back support for me
-Helinox sunset is heavier but a dream, for short pack into spike camp have used. If you have stock/packer, FOR SURE pack this in
