Ubiquitous overdone knife query: But I really do need some input

Another fan of Mora. Just picked up a bushmaster and was amazed at the quality at such a low price...came sharp as a razor, havent used it on anything yet but have no doubt it was a great purchase...like someone else said on a review I saw someplace - makes all other knives seem like a ripoff.

Used a Mora Bushcraft Forest to quarter two elk last year, and because it was still sharp I used it to process them just to see how far it would go. It held up great and was easy to put an edge back on afterward.

I have the laserstrike but have never really liked it. It got put in an emergency kit I call my "roadtrip bag" I throw in for trips far enough from home to justify having a little food, water, shelter, and tools. Good steel just not a real ergonomic knife to me.

My favorite is my Camillus Bushcrafter. It isn't quite as long a blade as you like but it works great for me. I bought one I use daily on the ranch and ended up getting 2 more I liked it so well. I abuse one daily, the other stays in my hunting gear. I carry it and a small steel for hunts more often than my Havalon or Outdoor Edge replacable blade knives. I guess I'm so used to carrying it that it doesn't feel right not having it on.

Just out of curiosity I skinned and quartered (gutless method) a cow elk this year start to finish with a Little Vickie. Not bad for $7 and about 3oz of weight.
Didn't even cut myself once which is a rarity.
