I sent these boots in recently for a repair. As you can see, the stitching on the back of the boot came out. No big deal. When I called, they said this was a common issue and it would be an easy fix. I only had the boot five months, so they were under warranty. I'm bummed because these were my go-to boots. Here are some photos. I'm just curious if this is a normal repair for a boot? Not only does it look bad, the repair changed the feeling of the boot on my achilles as well.

Thanks for any feedback.

The stitching looks intact to me. It appears that the lighter colored "leather" was excessively perforated by the stitching and after some time it basically tore out. Not sure how it could be effectively fixed, but that frankenstein patch was sure to effect the flex of that part of the boot. Good luck
