What is the preferred method for correcting this? I have seen people slide their silencers but I don't like this idea. I have heard that you have to 'train' it by constantly overturning it, which only lasts so long until the strands under the serving equalize. I have heard that you only want to tighten a bowstring and not loosen it. Minor changes from twisting the bottom whereas twisting the top is major. What's the going rate? Half a twist on the bottom gives a guy about an 1/8 of a turn at the peep? I like to think that there's a tried and true method instead of trial and error. I don't work on bows all day long so help a guy out. Not a single cam.

I always shoot the string in (about 50 shots) before installing a peep. Then after tying it in and getting it completely settled, I'll adjust it with my d-loop if need be. I always see these guys on TV turning their peep before every shot and I've never had to do that. My latest setup has been set now for the past two years like this and the peep is always fine........and I'm pretty OCD when it comes to even a tiny right or left rotation. You really have to get the d-loop tight though for it to stay put.

It was perfect but I had to move my d loop up. That made my peep go up. So until I get it, I am that annoying guy that twist it to get the shot off. LOL

Press the bow brandon and then twist the string 1 twist the way you want your loop to go and reinstall. Rinse and repeat till you have it where you want it.

I recently installed new Winner's Choice strings/cable on my bow. It always takes a little tweaking to get it to settle and stay, but according to their (Winner's Choice) instructions, do not remove more than 2-3 twists or add more than 4-6 twists to the bow string. Adjustments after that are to be done with the buss cable according to them. 1/2 twist to my string has my peep aligned, but every instance is different.

Full twists would be very fast at settling in. But, what do you guys do for a 1/2 twist when the serving at the bottom is involved?

Not sure what you mean by the "serving at the bottom" being involved? If mine is rotated over half way I put in or take out half twist in the string. If less than half I just set my D loop so it pulls back straight.

The memory in the serving around the cam doesn't settle quickly with a half twist. You can do a full twist better above it and keep the memory at the bottom with a full twist.

Don't know, I've always done a half twist if needed and then used the loop for smaller adjustments. Never really had and issue ding it this way.
