Wait he's 74, that means I'm older than him, that can't be. Good of him to speak out with respect to hunting. His acting career may take a hit because of it, but he's at that age where it probably doesn't matter.

I was hunting on a 5,000 acre tract of land near Chama last fall that is used for cattle grazing. Rumor had it that Kurt Russel and another "hollywood" guy were looking to buy it for Elk and Muley hunting. Apparently he hunts the Chama region regularly.

Wait until your career is essentially over before coming forward with personal lifestyle choices that may impact your brand- that checks.

There are a lot of celebrity types that hunt but they keep it quiet because they don't want to lose fans. I know of one famous chef, a couple of singers, and one actor that hunt all the time but they are smart and keep it quiet because it would cost them significant money if everyone found out.

I guided several well known people and was forced to sign an agreement prior to the hunt for that reason. Most were just normal people out hunting- they just happened to have jobs that placed them in a spotlight.
