I’ve been skunked so far but still have 3 days left on the season. New to turkey (and hunting in general) and so YouTube University has been my guide throughout this. Hopefully I’ll have something to post in here soon! These pics are getting me fired up to get back out there.

I had a slow spell in the middle of season hunting with a couple buddies that just couldn't get after it like I'd have preferred and the birds weren't running to the call so we needed to double down on the effort. I still had a good time with them just wasn't a lot of killing for a couple weeks. However, I've finished stronger than I probably deserve.

May 27 - 11:30 AM after my hunt was looking grim due to the rain but my wife reported hearing birds from camp that morning, so I went looking on a piece of state land I'd not hunted before. The assist definitely goes to my wife.

May 28 - 6:05 AM. within 5 minutes of fly down in the rain and fog. That doesn't happen to me very often.










May 28 - 6 PM after deciding what the heck and driving 60 miles from camp to hunt with one of my remaining region tags.

How do y’all preserve and/or display your turkey beards, fans, and spurs?

Had a lot of fun watching jakes beating up the decoys this year and wrapped it up with an Eastern KS gobbler.
