I feel like a woman right now (no offense ladies), but I keep going back and forth with I which bow I want to hunt with this year, I have a Bowtech Insanity and a Carbon Element G3, I've had the Bowtech Insanity longer and am still setting up the G3 (need to setup my rest on the G3 today) it's just really freaking heavy compared to the G3. The G3 holds great though, I don't have to use a back bar at all to hold my bubble level. The draw cycles are obviously night and day different, but I don't really have a preference since they both have incredible back walls. What other factors can I look at to help me decide which one I'm gonna be hunting with this year? I'm seriously torn right now, I know with the Insanity I'm gonna get a flat shooting bow with lots of KE, I just don't know if I want to carry a boat anchor around. Lol. And with the G3 I'm getting a lightweight bow that holds great and is dead quiet at the shot. What else would you guys look at to help you decide?

Whatever you shoot best. If it's a tie, what's easier to hold for a long time (heavier hurts quicker), what's quieter (they don't jump the string if they can't hear it), what draws smoother (fps doesn't matter if you get busted moving while you draw a nasty hump)? KE gets over estimated a lot, as does speed. Slow, quiet and accurate is better than missing loudly at a high rate of speed.

Wake up early in the morning take both bows and at the longest distance you feel comfortable with take one shot and only one shot with each bow, do those for a few weeks and see what one you shoot the best and decide from there .
