Truck Bed / Camper Shell Build Out

I built this sleeping platform for my truck bed before pulling out last night for a muzzy elk hunt! My dad and I will be sleeping back there while we hop around. My guess is we’ll spend 75% of our nights in the truck and 25% on the mountain.

We’ve got a long drive and I’ve been brainstorming how I want to build a large pull out drawer or slider under the platform for future trips. We’re getting by with some short and long totes for this year. I’ve got 9.25” from the truck bed to the bottom of the platform frame. Anyone have some photos for inspiration? Thanks!

Side note: we purchased foam bed rolls from Canvas Cutter and broke them in last night at a truck stop. Super comfortable and would recommend!

Put eye bolts on those two legs close to the tailgate, two drawers with eye bolts, connect to bungie straps, slide in and out. Easy, cheap, functional.
