so the vials are multi dose? meaning you can draw the medicine from the vial more than once without contamination? (using a new needle each time of course I would assume)....I'm totally new to this and have never self administered anything with a needle.
Yeah, that sucks. They are milking your insurance for more money and like mentioned above, it's a lot of waste. So much easier and cheaper per mL to get the big vials.
It totally depends on how much the doc wants you to take to get to your optimal number. For example, it could be 3ml twice/week, or 5ml once a week, etc, etc.
I do 2 injections of .25ml/week using 1 ml vials. You just have to clean the top of the vials each time with alcohol before drawing with a new needle. I've never had a problem. Use an 18ga to draw and something smaller to inject. I use a 25ga. A 27ga will work but it's harder to inject. Mine is in grape seed oil so it's little thick. One trick is to cough at the same time you stab yourself. You won't even feel it. After a while, you don't even care. One other tip, don't inject in your quads. It's painful and really easy to hit a nerve. I hit a nerve my second month. It hurt like hell at first, then went numb. I had a section of my leg the size of my hand that was numb for about 6 months.
