TRT

Sort of on subject, what's the secret to increasing free T? My total T is pretty good, but free T was on the lower side of normal?

Each generation after the 1950’s has had males have smaller sexual organs, and as a consequence regardless of lifestyle or heath cannot produce the same level of testosterone that earlier generations did.

Plastics, chemicals, pesticides, estrogen from birth control, among many others destroy testosterone production, and worse it affects fetuses/babies for life. Saying “eat right, exercise”- would help a lot of people. However, even still the parentage of males that can get natural T levels over 700 is small. Our environment (ironically made so by the very generation that quips about “lazy”) destroys males ability to produce testosterone.

I think you’d be surprised at the body’s ability to recover.
Most men have high cholesterol. One only needs to fix their metabolism to convert it into testosterone. High carb low fat with some liver, oysters, and egg yolks should do the trick. Lots of low fat milk. Get some sun. Find a doctor to prescribe you some T3 thyroid hormone—you’re probably hypothyroid to begin with. I’d be shocked if this didn’t work 90% of the time.

I realized this thread has not been posted on in awhile but I have a question. My sons and my wife have begged me to get a blood test. I exercise but I am tired all the time. I went and got checked and my T level was 119. Estrogen level was also not good. I took my first shot today. My question is about hair loss. I purchased some shampoo on Amazon that has a DHT blocker. Will that help? To be honest I just want to feel regular again. If I lose some hair then it might just have to be that way.

I was balding before I started so I never paid attention and shave my head now, but I'm glad you're getting some treatment. You'll feel like a new man in no time. What injection frequency did they tell you to do?

I still have a full head of hair after almost six years. At those levels I would think you'll be doing twice a week, half a mil.

You'll feel way better once you get back in spec.

I will be on twice a week for the Testosterone.

You guessed it exactly.

Typically hair loss comes from harder things than TRT. And it is person dependent. If you still have a full head of hair, I bet you will be good.

As another poster said, break your shots up twice a week. Also take an estrogen blocker. And donate blood every 8 weeks.

Youre either predisposed to hair loss or not. Normally thats a side effect of high DHT as you know. Thats more common in high doses of test and compounds like tren or masteron.

Will trt help you have line? No. But it shouldn't be a huge issue if you maintain normal levels.

I would avoid a DHT blocker. DHT is just as much of an androgenic hormone as testosterone is. It may also raise your estrogen as testosterone is normally converted into either DHT or estradiol.

Men with "androgenic alopecia" typically have higher inflammation in their scalp--like high levels of prostaglandin D2. This is a breakdown product of polyunsaturated fats.

Something like avoiding PUFA and using a shampoo with salicylic acid (prostaglandin inhibitor) should help. I would also ask your doctor about a T3 prescription.

I had a good bit of scalp hair thinning after starting T. I ended up on a dht conversion blocker for prostate issues and my hair thickened back up big time.

So yes. It can cause more rapid male pattern baldness
