Trouble getting binos in and out of Marsupial?

I'm currently on my 3rd version of the non-enclosed marsupial harness. The first gen had top buckles that were straight up and down, the second gen upgraded the buckles and angled them outward a little, and then I went to the 3rd generation so I could have the attachment points on the bottom for bear spray, holsters, etc.. Another "upgrade" they made on the 3rd gen was a fleece lining on the inside. I have always carried the same stuff in the front pocket in all of them (ballistic chart for my rifle, lens cloth, lens wipe, one extra rifle round if I'm rifle hunting, and a lens brush which is about the size of a lipstick tube).. I'm not sure if this newest version has a smaller front pocket or if its the fleece liner which seems kinda "sticky", but I have a heck of a time getting my binos in and out. It helps if I pull on the front of the pouch when I put my binos back in, but that kinda defeats the purpose of the one handed operation.

I've wrapped my binos in a towel and put them in the harness for a a while to stretch the fabric a little but it hasn't made much difference. It seems to be less of an issue if I take my lens cloth and brush out of the front pocket, but those things have never been an issue in the past?

Anyone else have issues with the new fleece lined version?

No, Love my marsupial packs. Maybe get rid of the 1 extra round? I mean, if you don't get them with the ones in the gun, plus the one's in the pack, that last one probably ain't gonna do it either.

Fair enough. Probably don’t need the extra round in there. I haven’t actually carried one in this current version as I’ve only bowhunted with it so far.. it works slightly better without the lens cleaner and brush in there, but the fleece liner still seems “tacky” compared to the two earlier versions, and it just seems like my binos don’t slide in and out as easily..

Maybe I’m the only person experiencing this?

Maybe your Bino's are right on the edge of sizing? My 12x42 NL's have plenty of room in the enclosed version. I used to only use the open, but last year switched to the enclosed. Both have their place imo. I do cut the sides out of the rangefinder pouch for easier removal tho.

My binos are EL 10x42s, which marsupial states requires a small size, and my last two harnesses were smalls also and was using the same binos. I should also mention that this is the standard, non-enclosed version.

They are tight enough that when I lift up on the binos with one hand, the harness lifts up off my chest and I kinda have to wiggle them to get them out. When I put them back in, I have to shimmy them back and fourth to get them to seat all the way down to the bottom so I can close the lid over them. I will post a video later..

I sent them an email and waiting to hear what they have to say or if they have any suggestions for me.

You just have to give it time, Its a lot of rigid materials that need to stretch out and wear in. I have Maven B6 12x50s in a current version small non enclosed. Thats pushing the limits on a small. At first theyd hang up pretty bad, but over time theyve conformed to where they almost come out and drop back in as easy as my FHFs.

I just recently picked this Harness up and noticed the same thing when I first got it. It does seem to be getting better. I loved my FHF but this one is a cut above.

I spoke with marsupial and they said it isn't something they get complaints about, but the swaro binos definitely have a tacky armor on them, They suggested that I stuff some towels and stuff in there to stretch the fabric out, so I have it sitting on the counter stretching right now. I hope this solves the issue because I've really loved all the previous harnesses I've had, but if this problem continues, I'll have to switch to something different.

I use a medium for my Maven B1 10x42's. I just like the harness a little oversized to prevent the issues you're having.

I use their current Large which is larger than the older large. My Meopta Optika LR 8x50's (range finding) don't slide in and out as well as I'd like at all. If it doesn't break in by the end of the season I'll probably go back to AGC.

I never had any issues whatsoever with the two older versions.. and they never required any breaking in either, so these have had me a little perplexed.
