It come with it. But it work for me sitting without center column. If using center column. I dont recommended extending beyond first section. It flex too much with the weight of atx. 65

Here’s a little video clip from this last fall on Kodiak. This was taken at about 3200’ elevation with my iPhone, looking through a Kowa TSN-553 spotter, on a AOKA tripod. It wasn’t really blowing all that bad but there was some wind and the tripod handled it very easily.

IMHO it doesn’t compare to the quality of the 80mm HD Swaro, and I didn’t expect it to, but at 3 lbs. 4 oz. it’s good enough, and has its place on certain hunts.

Center column twist onto the top of tripod. It fix on minimum height but have a total of three section to extend. Roughly about 27"That how they have it to 55".

Very cool, both video and setup! I'm enjoying my TSN-554 as well. A very impressive and quite capable little optic.

I guess the old saying is true though, about ignorance being bliss. I'm using a cheap Bog Pod CLD-3S. My set up is a shade over a pound heavier than yours but I'm very pleased with it's rock solid performance. My extended stay, deep back country days are, regrettably, getting smaller in my rear view. For the day hunts I do now, I don't need to be as weight conscious.

I'm still using the Aoka. I generally lean towards my binos for glassing, but so far it has worked great for me.

Spotted an elk bedded in the timber with the binos about 1200 yards away. Pulled the spotter out of my pack quick and could see that it was a nice bull. Ran over to a shooting point and waited for him to step out into the meadow at dark, but he never came. Could have shot his lady friend though.

Are the ATX covers still available from Scopecoat?

Sorry, but that post that you’re referring to may have been a little misleading. My main point was to endorse how capable the light AOKA tripod is. The scope under the Scopecoat is a Kowa, and it’s actually a straight cover that I fit over an angled scope. IDK If they’re making them for the ATX or not.

Running a Swaro Carbon CT Travel and Sirui VA-5 for my BTX/85mm. It has been awesome and is fairly lightweight for the stability and ability to standup with it. I am 6ft and it will go higher than I need but is very compact when collapsed down.

Definitely liking the overall wt. of this system and I know it’s not going to be anywhere near as good as the Swaro, I just hope that it’s going to be good enough.
