Tripod Protection

I have a med compact outdoorsman and trying to find a way to protect it a bit during transport. Are their sleeves or bags worth it? thnx

I've got one of the outdoorsman bags and I quite like it. The Promaster tripod I bought did not have a bag etc. so that is the way I went. Light and not too bulky.
