I am planning to purchase a tripod plate. I want to mount a rangefinder and spotting scope to it.

Anyone using a swivel head with the range finder? My thought is if I have the spotter on a target I can adjust the range finder without moving platform. Any other methods that would work for this?

thx

I have used a long Arca plate with a clamp on one end for bino post on one side and a small ball head for rangefinder or spotter. I line them up to look at the same spot, then both move at the same time with my big ball head.

I do it the same way if I'm using both.

I’m did struggle at times to get a good range one handed, propped over the pack etc. way different than archery. Ultimately it was one of the reasons to move to RF bino.

Not what you asked, but it’s clean and fast
