Tripod on a budget

Good or cheap, pick one. The option left is to search for a known good tripod at a cheaper than new price= used. The classifieds here would be the first place I would look. Good luck.

Slik if light and glassing seated. Might pick up 632 for $200.

Sirui if not so light and larger optic needed or wanting to stand and glass

That's a tough price point. If you will be using a spotter for digiscoping u really need a fluid head. Will you be sitting, standing or both?

What I'm currently running and its solid set up. I got mine on a sale but still within your price range

SIRUI AM-124 Carbon Fiber Tripod with AM-5VX Fluid Head

I have a NEEWER from amazon for my spotter. They have all different sizes and are fairly light. Not as light as some high dollar ones but work as good or better than all of the ones I've tried. You can get a lighter head for it and cut quite a bit of weight as well. They cater more to photography, so they don't get the "hunting upcharge" that most brands put on their stuff.
