A random thought entered my head while glassing early Saturday morning. lol

Do you guys like the arm pointing out way from you? Or do you like the arm right in front, closest to face?

I glass with the arm on my face side. Tried reversing and it felt unnatural. Maybe due to muscle memory. Curious if there are advantages I’m unaware of.

I put it towards me, it seams like I can rest my arm on my leg or something to facilitate more stable movements.

I orient it away from me, and rest my arms/elbows on the other two legs with my hands holding the head.

Currently it depends on the optic and head. With my Outdoorsmans Pan head with 12’s or 15’s it’s out front away from me. With the Swaro twins and the Outdoorsmans Fluid head it’s towards me. With that big optic it just balances and adjusts better that way. I’ll add that for pretty much 40+ years of glassing with the smaller optics and smaller heads it’s out front away.
