The lifters of a day pack wouldn’t get the load off the shoulder but it might be able to draw the pack in tighter to the straps or body. My Hill People Gear Aston 3 is designed to accept a belt but it’s more of a day bag.

The latest version of the Litespeed can also accommodate a belt. But one is not provided and I don’t believe TAD sells on either so makes me wonder why they even spend the extra dollars to make the Litespeed “belt-capable”.

Separately, the load lifters do feel good to me to bring the pack closer to the top of my back. Even without a belt , I like the difference in the way it feels to me.

The pack really isn’t that big to start with so I don’t think that many people would really need a belt, unlike the Fastpack EDC (which u also own) which I do use with a belt since it holds a lot more.

No question this thing is expensive and there are probably many other bags that can do the same for less money. However I am a fan of TAD, their stuff is well-built and I am ok paying the prices they ask. Not for everything they make, but some items, including this backpack.

Anyone get one of these and want to move it? Interested if so.

Sorry, love mine. It has replaced my MR UA24 as my EDC bag (which I already sold on FB marketplace). Other than needing an external water bottle holder, it is a near-perfect daypack for me.

I hope you can find one.

Appreciate it. I had it in the cart and then decided to sleep on it a day and they were sold out.

I definitely prefer the sailcloth fabric over the vx42. Not as stiff or noisy IMHO.

It is also very much a splurge purchase for me. This is not a life or death item. It is a luxury I can afford, that is also practical. I like TAD stuff, it is well-built and lasts but it is priced pretty high.

I don’t know how many “black magic” packs they made but I hope you can find one.

I've had an original litespeed for a very long time and liked it a lot. TAD just quoted me $280 to repair two of the zippers so now I have an antero ordered.

Wow, that sucks. That is 2/3 the price of a new one.

Tad has great stuff made but they aren’t manufacturing anything themselves. Repairs aren’t priority. I’d ask another sewer near you.

Can you post a picture of the zippers? I'm just curious what the repair would be.
