Triple 6 Update/Delay

I have a 223AI chunk that has a varmint contour barrel and I'd buy a OTB for it but I don't see it happening. I'm afraid we will have to continue using muzzle forward cans on our big barrels.
All is not lost….. I am currently using a 6.5 Reaper & will add a Reflex that will allow 1”.
It’s Awesome on my 22Creed. Can’t imagine how much better it’ll be with the Reflex. 😎

(Just checked..Reaper’s In stock)

But….. although it will be Great I’m sure, I just wonder if it’s possible to get better performance if it or another model that is Optimized for the larger case .224 would be built.
@Unknown Suppressors something to consider.

Have the first 3-4" turned down to the necessary diameter if you really want an OTB. As long as it's not carbon, this problem is easily solved

I don't really mind the ~1.8in diameter cans. I wonder what the real world differences are between the .75 inner --> 1.5 outer and the 1 inner --> 1.8 outer ... I suspect more material equals more weight.

I would do that but I had it flutted back when. A few years back I contacted Pac Nor about having it recontoured to a sporter barrel. At first they said absolutely and then when I told them it was flutted they said they couldn't because it's hard on tooling. I asked one gunsmith about it too and was told no but I only asked one. I kinda dismissed the idea and hadn't thought anymore about it until now.

I don't have a problem with them either. I wouldn't mind having something a little shorter to loose an inch or three but its fine like it is. Just always thinking out loud. I should shoot more and think less sometimes haha.

16” barreled, 6-7PRC, OG6-S 100 rounds straight:

At first my brain was pretty sure you brought ammo in a couple of Doritos bags for that test. Pretty confident this isn’t going to go “scythe” on a 18” 6 Dasher. Looking like the pieces might all come together in time for spring bear (Dasher Barrel, OG6-s, RS light). Thanks for helping to bring this thing to market.

I would not advise this. Best approach is to get an OTB that allows larger muzzle dia. Bbl.

LOL I thought the same thing, I was like dang, he is taking time to eat some Doritos while he is doing this? Must be making a day of it lol Sorry for that lol

So an option that doesn't exist yet, costs more, is longer, and is heavier? Weight isn't the biggest concern on heavier barrels but length certainly can be.

If you are set on turning your muzzle down, then go for it. But before I did something like that, I’d look hard at an AB Raptor series suppressor, the OG L, the soon-to-be-released gen2 OG 30 (June 1), the Reaper, or the OTB Nomad.

Maybe I'm way off base with this but I see this as a very simple solution that opens up the ability to use a shorter, lighter, cheaper suppressor. What are the disadvantages of turning a barrel down other than the added cost of having it turned down if your barrel was already threaded? I would do it over picking any of the other options listed but apparently I'm the anomaly. To each their own...
