Triple 6 Update/Delay

I have a 223AI chunk that has a varmint contour barrel and I'd buy a OTB for it but I don't see it happening. I'm afraid we will have to continue using muzzle forward cans on our big barrels.
All is not lost….. I am currently using a 6.5 Reaper & will add a Reflex that will allow 1”.
It’s Awesome on my 22Creed. Can’t imagine how much better it’ll be with the Reflex. 😎

(Just checked..Reaper’s In stock)

But….. although it will be Great I’m sure, I just wonder if it’s possible to get better performance if it or another model that is Optimized for the larger case .224 would be built.
@Unknown Suppressors something to consider.

Have the first 3-4" turned down to the necessary diameter if you really want an OTB. As long as it's not carbon, this problem is easily solved

I don't really mind the ~1.8in diameter cans. I wonder what the real world differences are between the .75 inner --> 1.5 outer and the 1 inner --> 1.8 outer ... I suspect more material equals more weight.

I would do that but I had it flutted back when. A few years back I contacted Pac Nor about having it recontoured to a sporter barrel. At first they said absolutely and then when I told them it was flutted they said they couldn't because it's hard on tooling. I asked one gunsmith about it too and was told no but I only asked one. I kinda dismissed the idea and hadn't thought anymore about it until now.

I don't have a problem with them either. I wouldn't mind having something a little shorter to loose an inch or three but its fine like it is. Just always thinking out loud. I should shoot more and think less sometimes haha.
