This seems to be the logical choice out of the optics I’m considering for my 30-06. Maven RS1.2 ffp moa (ffp not good in thick cover) and Credo HX 2.5-15x42 ( reticle to busy and thin for thick cover). I don’t dial so exposed turret isn’t a must for me. Battery free illumination? Plus. Adjustable parallax? Plus. 2.5-12.5 magnification? Plus. Perfect for thick cover and extended shots. Does it hold zero? Is it bomb proof reliable like NF, SWFA, and other trijicons? Any feedback on this optic?

Great scopes, I put one ol’ faithful when they extended shooting time here to 1/2 hour after sunset. It’s brighter than my eyes by far.
Got the 3-9x because don’t want parallax adjustment on a hunting scope.
Put a Huron 3-9x on a hunting AR10 and prefer it because of no illumination and obviously price.
Saw one the other day for $399 I think..

I’ve had one on my 300 win mag for years, specifically chosen for its versatility in varieties of terrain and brush, fast up close, can/have shot accurately out to 1000 with no problem. Durable reliable and great glass/viewing experience. Like the 2.5-12 and the 1-6 very much when I’m ok with SFP and holding over.

I'm agonizing over this exact scope of the smaller 3-9x40 for my 6.5 PRC. I feel like the extra magnification lends itself to the round, but then I like the simplicity of the lighter weight version.

6oz is worth the 3.5 magnification gained on top end, adjustable parallax, and .5 magnification gained on low end. plus it'll make my rifle recoil less. For under 1000 this optic seems absolutely perfect. Only one I see better over that is the NXS 2.5-10 but even then, I like the moa dot reticle better and capped elevation bc I dont dial. battery free illumination is better for cold weather also like Alaska I would think.

Seems like perfection for a 400 yard 30-06.

I’m INCREDIBLY curious about this scope. Anyone have anything to share regarding it? Is it durable?

Both of my 30mm Accupoints of the newer design (where the fiber optic light window is on the top of the ocular/eyepiece vs wrapped around the eyepiece) have held up well, tracked accurately, and retained zero well. The 2.5-12 is on 1 300 win mag, and also have a 1-6 mil dot on a 375 ruger. Admittedly have shot the 375 more than the 300 over the last few years, and it's been on more bush flights, dropped, frozen, etc. so a more abusive set of tests... but has held zero the whole time every time I've checked after a fly out hunt, or just periodically routine checks. Always been able to trust the 2.5-12 so far too.

Recently moved the 1-6 over to an accurate SPR build so maybe this summer I'll get to do more trigger time on it (less expensive to shoot) to really the 1-6 over a higher round count.

@KYwhitetail606 Curious on the particular choice of criteria. I understand going for a dot reticle, I like them myself. I also see the value in sfp and capped turrets for a gun that will be used mostly at close range in thick cover. Although Id personally gravitate to a 9 or 10x scope in sfp, and Id prefer the ease of a base-10 system if Im using holdovers, I understand the tradeoffs if someone is really used to moa. What Im wondering about is, if thick cover (which means 100% close range in those conditions) is a priority, and 400 yards is a max range, why look for an adjustable parallax? I havent found much parallax error within this range, but for quicker and faster applications at close range I HAVE found setting parallax to be a delay if it gets moved during carrying, and affect my ability to get on target quickly and make a good shot. These seem like contradictory priorities so Im curious if you have experienced a legit problem with parallax error inside 400 yards?

No experience with the 2.5-12.5 but it's on my list.

To me accupoints are the perfect hunting optics. For the asking price you get good glass, battery free illumination, good durability and a good reticle (Green mil-dot or MRAD).

Currently I have the 3-9, 2.5-10, 4-16 all mil-dot reticles except the 4-16 which has the MRAD reticle with half-mil hash marks that I do like better.

The eyebox is best on the 2.5-10x56mm, and at low power the reticle picks up quick almost like an RDS. I also had no issues connecting on a muley with my 18" 308 with 150gr trophy copper at 385 yrd using holdovers I calculated back when strelok was still around.

If I could only have one it would be the 2.5-10x56mm but with the MRAD reticle. Those 1/2 hash marks are nice to have. But as is the eyebox is so forgiving and I'm able to get a good sight picture even in crappy shooting positions. It also lets in tons of light for last/first hour shooting and it's the lightest/cheapest accupoint besides the 3-9. I was able to mount it on my Ruger RAP with seekings low rings with about a dollar bill to spare for barrel clearance.

If trijicon would put that MRAD reticle in the 2.5-12.5 or the 2.5-10 I'd probably pick one up.

I'm not sure why these scopes aren't talked about more often. Ive actually sold a night force and vortex razor to get back to using accupoints, they just kind of check every box I want, at a price I'm willing to pay.

Just my observations
