Hey all,
Spent awhile looking at scopes for my T3x 6.5 Creedmore and it’s down to these two and the last think or two I’m torn on come down to having no prior experience with any scopes: reticle design. I like these two for various reasons including they’re close in price (or used here right now). Initially I finally decided on thr Trijicon but the MOA reticle is very minimalist where the Nightforce reticle has a lot more measurement on it.

I know from reading around this is a holy war item but I anticipate not being bothered by a busy reticle and would like to use the MOA information as best I can. I guess the question is is the difference in reticle information here going to make a material difference. I would like to learn how to estimate distance etc based on MOA guides and assumed more resolution on the chart helps but open to more info.

The nightforce reticle has plenty of information without being busy. Either should work fine. 2nd focal plane can be difficult for measuring as you need to be at full magnification for the subtensions to be accurate. 10x is easier to do that then 12.5x.
Maybe buy another rifle so you can try both scopes 😇

NF is more compact... Trijicon has longer tube for more adjustment in rings... Trijicon has more eye relief... NF probably has the edge in durability... Trijicon doesn't need batteries... Trijicon reticle is more visible without any illumination, a plus in woods or mixed cover.

Glad I couldn't do anything to help the decision. Lol.

These are two of my favorite scopes. With practice either will be okay for holdovers.

Nightforce SHV for dialing.
Trijicon Accupoint for mpbr.

If you're really wanting to "measure" go down a different rabbit hole and learn mils with the Nightforce SHV F1 4-14x50 w/ mil-r.

So I was on the fence on the exact same scopes for my Tikka 6.5 CM as well. My opinion, if you want to use the reticle then the Trijicon offers a lot of other bonus options. I planned to dial mostly so I went with the NF (NXS) for the exposed turret.
