It has a sealed aluminum housing with a taped seal stating if removed warranty will be void so I did not dare open it up.

Well, I do not know what to tell you guys. I just received my fourth Triggertech, the special. It is very slightly better than my first, so I am 50%. Customer service has been great but QC not so much. I guess if you have the patience it could be a good option for you. Now I will have to do a longevity check. I will report back after I have had it in the field.

I'm glad for you guys testing and for not quickly ordering. I have had great success with Jewel's but am always looking for something better. thanks for your efforts. (and for saving me some money!)

I believe they have acknowledge the issue and are working to address it. Like I said if you are not in a hurry to get it this is a great trigger. I will be using the two I have this year to see how they stand up in real world conditions.

I talked to TT at Shot. They seemed to have the issue handled and gave me two trigger to test. The said that the poundage can change from action to action. I will test these two when I get home. Very impressed with TTs willingness to listen and get any issues fixed.

Glad to hear that their CS is good and that they are willing to listen but would someone please explain how the trigger poundage can change from rifle to rifle?

Thanks Ryan. Great explanation. It's basically due to minor differences in the cocking piece and the pressures it applies to the sear. It's very minor though.

They are great triggers. They have great customer service. They do have some bugs to work out but I think they will get it. After some trial and error I have two great triggers.

I have one sitting in my safe at home waiting to be put on a build, so I can't speak to the quality. I can say that I did contact CS before I bought it with a few questions and they were always quick to respond and helpful.
