Triax at long range

Just shot several bows at my local shop and was blown away by the Triax. My only concern about the bow is the short axle to axle of the bow. Does anyone have experience shooting it at long ranges? Is it as stable as some of the longer bows out there?

Shoot mine to 70.My longer Realm X is,for me,more stable and easier to shoot long range.Triax is a great bow though. It scored 4 turkeys this Spring so the X has some catching up to do.Not a light bow,nor is the X.

I shoot a longer bow (35" Prime Rival) better at longer range than my shorter Mathews Creed and way better than the departed Hoyt Carbon Element....at a 29" draw length. Never shot the Triax, but I am done with short bows for mountain hunting based on my experience with them.

Appreciate the feedback. It's just really tough to tell a whole lot about the bow on a 10 yard indoor range.

Its good but a 6" brace height shoots like a 6" brace height. Ontarget7 just changed his primary bow from a Triax to a RealmX he stated the RealmX was more accurate with less practice. Triax is a great bow, I am considering one for the stable.

I personally think it’s more about the archer. I have seen the top archers in the world show up with short bows and win huge tournaments. That being said, shorter bows are generally not as forgiving as the longer ones. As far as accuracy, every bow discussed in this thread will out shoot any of us, short mid or long range.

Triax is a great bow and still like it quite a bit. However the Realm or Realm X really shines as just a very easy bow to shoot well with little effort. Work has me very busy so haven’t had much time to shoot. For this reason, I’ve went a different direction for my go to for this year. The Realms seem like they take zero settling in time no matter how long it’s been in between shooting. They just hit behind the pin with little effort for me.

Ontarget7 sure agree with you and curious if you think it's the Bowtech handle/grip that makes the difference?I'm convinced it's not the length.

I think it’s a few things that come together to make it a very friendly shooter.

Riser stiffness
OD cams
Flex Guard
Grip
Improved limb stance
