Just broke my trekking poles on a hike this past weekend, they were relatively cheap ones.

Looking to get a decent set that are compatible with quick stix. Looking for recs if it matters. I can't tell if some of these $100+ poles are worth it since the $60 ones I just had worked fine for 4 years (but did break lol).

Thanks!

I have been using the Sissy Sticks since they first came out and they have held up to all kinds of abuse. If I broke one I would buy them again.

Same. I've been using them since 2020 and I also using them in the winter for backcountry splitboarding/skiing. Great ratio of strength to weight.

I had the same question, then read the last post, thanks for the reality check on the simple decisions in life

I have had the cascade trekking poses for years and would get them again if they broke. In my opinion it’s not worth spending the extra money on poles as they can all break.
There are a couple advantages with higher cost pole such as weight, smaller cups. But these do not outweigh cost in my opinion.
I have multiple buddies that bought expensive poles and wish they would’ve just got the same ones I have.

Black Diamond Alpine FLZ with Quick Stix. Five years, a whole lot of hunting and quite a few dead elk and still ticking. If I ever lost or broke one, I would buy the exact same poles. I’ve had quite a few brands over the decades. These are my go to.IMG_0506.jpeg
