This ranch spans 916,076 acres, making it larger than Rhode Island and one of the largest properties in the U.S. The post suggested that this purchase would place Zelensky among the top ten landowners in the United States.

Maybe it's all fake, but I don't trust our government to tell us the truth. There are a lot of people that have gotten extremely rich during the war in Ukraine. Do you honestly think they would tell everyone if this is true? Cartels have enough money to build submarines, I think they could pick up some black market weapons from somewhere, especially China.

I love all the x-pats that say it's safe. Most live in security compound of some type. IE security guards, gates fences condo's. No different than some places here. I also know my friends head down to Rocky point every other week, a few bucks for the cops and it's all good. Who knows????? Different society.

And the history of war has been full of profiteering.

And there's certainly a huge black market for weapons.

And I'm sure there's all kinds of crazy stuff we don't (and will never) know.

But the sensational stuff that people yell in YouTube videos and post anonymously? I'm INSANELY suspicious.

Not that I trust the mainstream media, they're businesses with an agenda... I more or less will believe stuff that's being widely reported by outlets on both sides of the political spectrum. That's about it. Lol

Give us a break with this nonsense. The Jalisco Cartel obtained most of their weapons by trafficking them from the US. Also, this particular cartel is different from the other cartels. Most of the cartels started out as drug trafficking organizations who became paramilitary organizations as a result of adaptation. The Jalisco cartel is more of a paramilitary organizations who became a drug cartel and took quite a few weapons from the Mexican military with them. They have anti aircraft capabilities as well as a fleet of attack drones.

Whatever sources you are obtaining your information from is severely warping your perspective. Think about it: what is the easiest and cheapest way for Mexican cartels to obtain weapons? That's the answer.

My parents are on a cruise... They've had a couple of Mexico stops the past few days. Had a great time.

They take out political candidates regularly down there, Presidential ones included though not as cocommon.

They set a record in '24 IIRC...what was like 37 candidates were killed before the election? I also believe another mayor was killed after the election. There were around dozen candidates that had relative killed as well...Its super safe as long as you do what the cartels say.

How outlandish is it that they would sell our weapons to the highest bidder? They bought Hunter Biden's paintings for a few million. Why? They like "art". Zelenski is not a hero. He's a piece of garbage. I don't know what the truth is, but I sure as hell know they wouldn't tell us if this was happening.

Things are only going to get worse. Its getting to where there's no way to know what is actually true anymore with AI. They can create any story they and back it up with deep fake videos.

Love me some Cabo, changes a bit when I have 3 little baby girls and my wife. Is it safe… for the most part, but when it’s not, it’s really Not. Just like some of the streets we patrolled in Afghanistan, they were safe like 99/100 times but it’s the 1 time that matters. Gotta do what you are comfortable with and will likely travel in Mexico again but man, if you don’t take some pause after seeing this stuff… maybe continue living with your head in the sand, these places are not the USA often a very thin veil of “safety” exists. Often times a lot of danger can be avoided even in 3rd world countries by avoided certain areas… but if you were filling your tank at Costco and a coked out sicario goes weapons free, you get reminded real quick that it’s still Mexico (yes I know bad things happen everywhere) some places more often than others

Seems like a country at war would be more interested in sending weapons at the enemy, but whatever.

If you're talking Cozumel, it's not the same. West coast of Mexico (Pacific side) or inland is not so nice.

Which side did your parents visit on their cruise? Most cruises I was on went to the Gulf side of Mexico. We did one Panama Canal Transit Cruise that stopped in Huatulco and Acapulco and a few stops on the West coast side. Definitely more security (Military with M-16's) at those stops than Cozumel.
