Anybody planning a trip to Mexico? You might want to reconsider, Mexican Army killed cartel boss El Mencho and the cartel has gone to war. Puerto Vallarta is burning down and the cartel is killing anyone found on the streets.

Yeah, big trouble in PV, world cup inbound in a couple of months. Americans involved? Wonder if this will elicit US military intervetion???

Also reports of internet and telecommunications being shut down as well as airports in PV and Gaud.
Was in Cabo last year when a local bus got torched. Heard that it was a labor dispute but there's been other cartel activity in Cabo and other more touristy areas in recent years. Been going to Mexico for many years to Cabo, Mazatlan, PV, etc. The cartels used to leave the tourist areas alone.

I think the CJNG is going to regret causing such mayhem in the streets.
In time? Maybe!
At the time, the cartels are probably better equipped/armed than the Mexican military.
During the past administration's "open border" policy, the cartels pressed forward onto American soil. Our border cities are now in danger of violence by the cartels. The cartels have no respect for ours laws, borders or citizens!

^^^ with that said money only buys loyalty as long as their are repercussions to ignoring allegiances.

I hope this looses their hold in our border communities

I have a funny feeling the Mexican army didn't execute this hit alone and likely had help from the boys in the unit....

My civil engineer is in Puerto Vallarta with his family. Flights cancelled, they are watching from their 6th floor hotel room people getting pulled out of their cars at gunpoint from guys on motorcycles then they firebomb the car. Fires all through the city. There is no reliable info on what's going on besides cartel violence.

My daughter and her buddies have a trip planned in 3 weeks- now to convince her its bad idea.

I saw that. Costco parking lots are honestly more dangerous than cartels I think
My cortisol levels would be the same whether in a Costco that’s being set on fire by the cartel or just being at our local Costco on a weekend 😂

That being said, I’ve seen two people hit by cars in the parking lot but no one got out after to chop their head off!

Yeah, the parking lot speed limit at our Costco seems to be about 70 MPH. You need to watch out.

I would not set foot in Mexico right now. We're trying to get any word on some friends who moved to PV right now.

We were on a flight to Puerto Vallarta leaving tomorrow night. Not no more! Been to Mexico more times than I can count, but…..I’m thinking the right decision was to cancel. Especially when the airlines basically advised us to.
Maybe in a few months it will all be worked out and the Mexicans will elect another cartel leader to ensure violence stays out of tourist areas. Ha.
