Yep a trapper in carbon steel is hard to beat

A friend of my grandmother owned a old sporting goods store and gave me a
Real elephant ivory case trapper ( should have locked it in a drawer But didn’t and someone stole it) it was a irreplaceable prize possession

Between a trapper and a moraknifv carbon steel I don’t think I could ever need anything else

A yellow handled eye brand lock back is hard to beat. They had some of the nicest carbon steel blades ever. I have a few of them and a trapper as well. Most of them look more like filet knives they’ve been sharpened so many times over the years. They still get sharp with minimal effort and stay that way through lots of use.

I've skinned lots of furbearers with my Case copperlock. I typically use larger knives on bigger game, but I have a Moore Maker jumbo trapper in carbon steel that would work great.
